Feoktistov, Lev Petrovich
Born Feb. 14, 1928, in Moscow. Soviet physicist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1966); Hero of Socialist Labor. Member of the CPSU since 1956.
Feoktistov graduated from Moscow State University in 1950. His main works deal with nuclear physics and engineering. He received the Lenin Prize and was awarded the Order of Lenin, two other orders, and various medals.
