Ems-Hunte Canal
Ems-Hunte Canal
(also Küsten Kanal), a navigation canal in the Federal Republic of Germany. The Ems-Hunte Canal connects the Ems River at Dörpen with the Hunte River at Oldenburg and, via the Hunte, with the Weser River. The canal is 69.6 km long. It was opened in 1935. The canal has two locks, and it is accessible to vessels with displacements of up to 1,000 tons.
