Epifan

an urban-type settlement in Kimovsk Raion, Tula Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the left bank of the Don (close to its sources), 15 km from the Kimovsk railroad station on the Tula-Riazhsk line. It has a distillery and a pedagogical school. Epifan’ was founded in 1578. It is the site of the 17th-century Uspenskaia Church of the Epifan’ Monastery.
