Cornus Capitata

 

a small tree or a bush of the family Cornaceae; sometimes classifed in the genus Cynoxilon. It is found in the Himalayas and China (Yunnan and Hopeh provinces). Cornus Capitata is grown in the Crimea and the Black Sea Shore of the Caucasus. It is cultivated primarily as an ornamental because of its numerous globose heads and its bright orangered fruit clusters. The fleshy fruits are edible and smell like strawberries.
