ACK

(communications)A message transmitted to indicate thatsome data has been received correctly. Typically, if thesender does not receive the ACK message after somepredetermined time, or receives a NAK, the original datawill be sent again.

ACK

(ACKnowledgment code) The communications code sent from a receiving station to a transmitting station to indicate that it is ready to accept data. It is also used to acknowledge the error-free receipt of transmitted data. Contrast with NAK. See ARQ.
