Location:2 miles from Clarence B Sharp Highway exit off I-95 at 57 Fort Street in Groton.
Facilities:Revolutionary War museum, picnic tables, portable toilets (é).
Special Features:Historic site where, on September 6, 1781, the British forces commandedby Benedict Arnold captured the Fort and massacred 88 of the 165defenders stationed there. The home that sheltered the wounded after thebattle, the Ebenezer Avery House, has been restored on park grounds.
