de·ox·y·ri·bo·nu·cle·ase I , DNase I [MIM*125505] an endonuclease that cleaves primarily double-stranded DNA to a mixture of oligodeoxyribonucleotides, each ending in a 5'-phosphate; streptodornase is a similar enzyme.
