Calophaca

There are ten species in the southeastern part of the European USSR, the North Caucasus, Middle Asia, China, and Burma. Of the five species that grow in the USSR, four are found in Middle Asia. C. wolgarica, which grows on stony steppe slopes, is eaten by cattle. The bark of C. grandiflora, which grows in Tadzhikistan, is used by local inhabitants to make rope.
