Camau

a peninsula in southern Indochina, between the South China Sea and the Gulf of Siam, in the western part of the Mekong Delta. The peninsula is covered with swamps, some of which have been drained, and its vegetation is typical of alluvial plains. Mangrove thickets are scattered along the shore. Rice is cultivated on the peninsula.
