[‚en·kō·lə′mȯid·ē·ə] (invertebrate zoology) A superfamily of nematodes of the order Dorylaimida, characterized by two circlets of cephalic sense organs on the lips, pouchlike amphids with slitlike openings, a stoma armed with an axial spear, and a body cuticle marked by widely spaced annulations giving a platelike appearance.
