Barometric Altimetry
Barometric Altimetry
one of the methods of altimetry, based on the relation of air pressure to altitude above sea level, which was established in 1647 by B. Pascal. The pressure is measured with barometers, and corrections that take into account temperature, humidity, and other factors are introduced.
