Chiang Chao-ho
Born 1901 in Szechwan Province. Chinese painter and graphic artist.
Chiang studied in Shanghai but has worked mainly in Peking. He is known for genre compositions in india ink that frequently present important episodes in modern Chinese history and that combine techniques of European and classical Chinese painting. Chiang’s principal works include The Refugees (1943), Watch on the Yalu River (1950), and Letter to the Front (1953).
