Chibagalakh

a mountain range in the Cherskii mountain system, in the Yakut ASSR. The Chibagalakh Range extends 250 km from the Tuostakh River valley in the lana River basin. The range has a maximum elevation of 2,449 m. The mountains are composed primarily of metamorphic rocks and sandstones. Larch forests grow on the mountain slopes. At higher elevations, a belt of dwarf stone pine and tundra is encountered.
