An obsolete term for a variant of acne vulgaris which is characterised by indurated keratin plugs, located especially at the corners of the mouth.

(ak'nē ker-ă-tō'să) An eruption of papules consisting of horny plugs projecting from the hair follicles, accompanied by inflammation.
