释义 | draba
DrabaDraba(whitlow grass), a genus of plants of the family Cruciferae. They are low-growing perennial and, less frequently, biennial or annual herbs; some are subshrubs. They have entire leaves, which are often in a rosette. The flowers are small, yellow or white, and racemose. The fruit is a silicle or, less frequently, a pod. There are approximately 300 species, distributed in temperate and cold regions of Eurasia and America. In the USSR there are over 90 species, found predominantly in the arctic and the alpine zones, along arid, rocky slopes, rocks, and small meadows. The annual Draba nemorosa grows on dry, open slopes, meadows, and steppes; it is also a weed in fields. The perennial D. sibirica is found primarily in alpine meadows, in the tundra, and on limestone slopes. Many species are cultivated as ornamentals. REFERENCETolmachev, A.
