Draft Check Draft CheckSlang; a post-dated check. That is, a check with a date after the current one written on it. In most circumstances, a draft check may not be deposited until the date written on it is reached. This gives the writer time to collect money so as not to write a bad check. Post-dating checks is strongly discouraged. |
