Chievitz layer - in the developing retina of an embryo, a transitory zone between the inner and outer neuroblastic layers that is devoid of nuclei.Chievitz organ - a normal epithelial structure, possibly a neurotransmitter, found at the angle of the mandible with branches of the buccal nerve.
