drag bracedrag bracei. An adjustable brace used to adjust the blade alignment of a semi-rigid rotor. The braces resist the movement of the blade about its lead-lad hinge and provide a means of sweeping the blade for chord-wise balance. It is normally mounted on the inner trailing edge of the main rotor blade and the rear portion of the blade grip.
ii. A brace that supports an aircraft landing gear against loads trying to force the landing gear backward.
iii. A brace that supports the wing against the force of drag. See also drag wire.
