Aethusa
Aethusa a genus of plants of the family Umbelliferae with one polymorphic species, fool’s parsley (A. cynapium). An annual (sometimes biennial) with a branching, hollow stem, the plant has bipinnate and tripinnate leaves. Fool’s parsley is found in Asia Minor and Europe and has been cultivated in North America. In the USSR it is found in the Caucusus and occasionally in almost all the oblasts of the European USSR. The plant is poisonous. The distinctively strong odor, the glossy surface of the leaves, and the structure of the sheath distinguish it from parsley (Petroselinum crispum). Aethusa
