[dē′rich·mənt] (analytical chemistry) In gravimetric analysis by coprecipitation of salts, a system with λ less than unity, when λ is the logarithmic distribution coefficient expressed by the ratio of the logarithms of the ratios of the initial and final solution concentrations of the two salts.
