Cantwell, Dennis Patrick

(1939– ) child psychiatrist, educator; born in East St. Louis, Mo. He became professor of child psychology at the University of California: Los Angeles School of Medicine (1980). His area of expertise included communication and learning disorders, disruptive behavior and mood disorders, eating disorders, suicide, and pervasive developmental disorders.
