Council of Institutional Investors

A non-profit organization that promotes the interests of institutional investors in the United States. The Council of Institutional Investors provides members with lobbying, educational, networking, and other similar services. There are more than 140 members, mainly pension funds, of the Council of Institutional Investors; members control a combined $3 trillion in assets. The Council was established in 1985 and maintains its headquarters in Washington, D.C.
