DescurainiaDescurainiaa genus of plants of the family Cruciferae. They are annual, occasionally biennial, grasses whose pinnatisect leaves are divided into two or three narrow even threadlike, lobes. The blossoms have yellow petals, and the pods are slender and cylindrical. There are approximately 50 species, primarily in North America; only a few are found in Eurasia and Africa. In the USSR there are two species, including D. sophia, which is found throughout the country in refuse areas, by habitations, in fields, along roads, and on meadows and slopes. Descurainia
