The desert version of the herb Senna, which has 350 species. Yellow 5- petal flowers with opposite pairs of oval leaves along stems. Senna is known for it’s laxative effect because it irritates the digestive system. (used as infusion- simply putting plant in water). Contains antiinflammatory resveratrol. Quite strong and irritating to the body. Do not take for more than 7 days. It’s a stimulant, so avoid if you have heart condition or high blood pressure.
