Chlamydobacteria

a group of filamentous bacteria. Many chlamydobacteria produce ferrous hydroxide (II), forming mucilaginous volvas. The young cells that emerge from the volva are motile. Chlamydobacteria develop in places where water and soil are constantly polluted by food wastes or sewage.
