Bogoliubov, Mikhail Nikolaevich

 

Born Jan. 11 (24), 1918, in Leningrad. Soviet linguist and specialist on Iran. Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1966).

Bogoliubov graduated from Leningrad University in 1941 and has been a professor at Leningrad State University since 1959. His main works deal with the Khorezmian, Sogdian, and Yaghnobi languages: Personal Pronouns in the Khorezmian Language (1962), Sogdian Documents from Mt. Mug: Linguistic Data (1963), and The Yaghnobi Language (1966).
