(fəro͝okh`äbäd'), joint municipality with Fategarh (total 1991 pop. 208,727), Uttar Pradesh state, N central India, on the Ganges River. It is a district administrative center and a market for tobacco, fruit, and potatoes. Perfume, cotton prints, and saltpeter are manufactured.
