Capri School
Capri School
a school founded on the island of Capri (Italy) by persons who broke away from the Bolshevik Party; it was active from August to December 1909.
In June 1909 a conference of the enlarged editorial board of the newspaper Proletarii determined that the initiators of the Capri school were following “their own special ideological and political group goals” (KPSS v rezoliutsiiakh …, 8th ed., vol. 1, 1970, p. 283). In December 1909, some lecturers at the Capri school (including A. A. Bogdanov and G. A. Aleksinskii) and a number of pupils organized the anti-Bolshevik group Vpered.
