 EEG technologist; an allied health professional trained to obtain interpretable electroencephalographic recordings and who is able to apply electrodes in specified locations, conduct routine and special tests, and prepare the tracing for interpretation by the neurologist. Those having 1 year of training and 1 year of clinical experience and passing the certification examination of the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists are designated R EEG T, Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist.
