Anguiano, Daniel

 

Born 1882; died July 11, 1969. A leader of the Spanish workers’ movement.

Anguiano was secretary of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party from 1916 to 1921. In 1920 he visited Soviet Russia as a representative of this party and had meetings with V. I. Lenin. Upon his return to Spain, he became one of the founders of the Spanish Communist Party. He later played a prominent role in Communist and trade union movements. He lived in exile after 1939.
