Location:On the south side of Eureka on Highland Avenue, just off US 101.
Facilities:Visitor center/museum, exhibits, historic structures, picnic areas, restrooms (é).
Activities:Self-guided tours, group tours by appointment.
Special Features:Fort was established in 1853 to assist in conflict resolution betweenNative Americans and gold-hungry settlers. The partially reconstructedoutpost features a historical museum with military and native displaysdepicting then-common events of the region. The park also has a loggingmuseum and exhibit and two operational steam engines.
