Dress·ler syn·drome

(dres'lĕr sin'drōm) Recurrent pericarditis following acute myocardial infarction, or inflammation of the pericardium resulting from previous injury to the heart muscles. Symptoms may develop weeks to months after myocardial infarction or open heart surgery.
