a mixture of the cation-exchange resins, carbacrylic resin and potassium carbacrylic resin (87.5%), and of the anion-exchange resin, polyamine-methylene resin (12.5%), used to increase the fecal excretion of sodium in edema associated with excessive sodium retention by the kidneys, for example, in congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and nephrosis.
