carbendazim

carbendazim

A broad-spectrum benzimidazole fungicide, which is widely used in plant disease control. It has been labelled by Friends of the Earth as one of the “filthy four” pesticides that are toxic to humans and the environment. While carbendazim has a low acute toxicity profile, chronic exposure suggests carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and, of greatest concern, reproductive effects due to endocrine disruption; the data are inconclusive.
