Bon Tsagan Nur

 

an internal drainage lake in southwestern Mongolia. Located between Khangai and the Gobi Altai at an elevation of 1,311 m, amid a desert plain. Bon Tsagan Nur has an area of 240 sq km and is 24 km long, 16 km wide, and up to 15 m deep. The main branch of the Baidrag-Gol River flows into the lake. Its banks are low and marshy in places. The salt content of water in the lake is 5.7 kg/m3(grams per liter).
