, cardionector (kăr″dē-ō-nĕk′tĕr) [″ + L. nektor, joiner] The conduction system of the heart. It includes the sinoatrial node, which transmits impulses to the atrioventricular node, which in turn transmits impulses to the bundle of His, which transmits impulses to the bundle branches and Purkinje fibers to produce ventricular contraction.
