10% of all accidents with injury are caused by excess alcohol; 33% (66% if between 10 pm and 4 am on Friday and Saturday nights) of all drivers and motorcyclists killed have blood alcohol levels over the legal limit of 80 mg/100 ml. At double the legal limit, the relative accident risk is 20 times greater than that of a sober driver.
