Boris Fedorovich Lomov

Lomov, Boris Fedorovich

 

Born Jan. 28, 1927, in Gorky. Soviet psychologist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1976). Member of the CPSU since 1956.

Lomov graduated from the division of psychology of the philosophy department of Leningrad State University in 1951. He became dean of the psychology department there in 1966 and director of the Institute of Psychology of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1972. Lomov was among the first to develop engineering psychology in the USSR. He has been awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and various medals.
