Boris Naumov
Naumov, Boris Nikolaevich
Born July 10, 1927, in Moscow. Soviet scientist in control processes and computer technology. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1976). Member of the CPSU since 1957.
Naumov graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1950. From 1950 to 1967, he served on the staff of the Institute of Problems of Control. In 1967 he became the director of the Institute of Control Computers.
Naumov’s main works deal with the general theory of nonlinear control systems, the theory and principles of building automated control systems, and methods of modeling and optimizing automated control systems. Naumov directed the development of a number of control computer complexes for the control of technological processes and of integrated scientific experiments.
Naumov has been awarded two orders and various medals.
