Boris Viktorovich Raushenbakh
Raushenbakh, Boris Viktorovich
Born Jan. 5 (18), 1915, in Petrograd. Soviet scientist in the fields of mechanics and control processes. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1966). Member of the CPSU since 1959.
In 1938, Raushenbakh graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers, where he specialized in theory, and began working at the Jet Scientific Research Institute. In 1947 he began teaching at the Moscow Physicotechnical Institute, becoming a professor in 1959.
Raushenbakh is a corresponding member of the International Academy of Astronautics. He has been awarded the Lenin Prize (1960), the Order of Lenin, and various medals.
