Borkoldoi
Borkoldoi
(Borkoldai), a mountain range in Inner Tien-Shan in southeastern Kirghiz SSR.
The Borkoldoi is about 100 km long, its average elevation is about 4,300 m, and its maximum elevation (in the west) is 5,049 m. There is considerable glaciation on the northern slopes. The Borkoldoi is composed of crystalline shales, marble, and granites. Semi-desert vegetation predominates on the slopes. At higher elevations there are cliffs and rock waste with sparse xerophytic vegetation.
