Carleman, Tage Gillis Torsten
Born July 8, 1892, in Visseltofta; died Jan. 11, 1949, in Jursholm. Swedish mathematician. Professor at the University of Stockholm from 1924.
Carleman’s principal works dealt with the theory of functions (quasi-analytic classes, functional approximation, trigonometric series), integral equations, and spectral theory.
