Borovinka
Borovinka
an ancient Russian variety of apple tree. The fruit is of average size or larger (80–120 g), almost perfectly round, yellow with a striped or streaked blush. The pulp is yellowish white, juicy, tart, and spicy. The tree attains a small or an average height, is winter-hardy, and bears fruit in the fourth or fifth year; the yield is abundant (1.5 to 2 centners from one tree). The Borovinka is found in the central area of RSFSR (autumn variety) and in the southern regions (summer variety).
