Location:West central Illinois, 60 miles east of Saint Louis, near Vandalia at the southwestern tip of Fayette County.
Facilities:Boat ramps.
Activities:Hunting, trapping (with restrictions), fishing, birdwatching.
Special Features:As a major stopping point for migrating ducks and geese, area offersexcellent waterfowl hunting opportunities. Fishing is available on morethan 2,000 acres of the lake and on the Kaskaskia River.
