Risk factors Alcohol abuse, cystic fibrosis, gallstones, pancreas divisum, drugs/medication. Clinical findings Abdominal pain, malabsorption, secondary diabetes. Types Autoimmune, familial, SPINK mutation-related. Aetiology Alcohol, nutritional, hereditary (e.g, cystic fibrosis), protein defects, idiopathic, trauma, hypercalcaemia.
