Engadina
a national park in Graubünden Canton, Switzerland. The park, established in 1914 in the Alps, covers an area of 16,887 hectares (1975). It has coniferous forests (pine, larch), alpine meadows, and many endemic plants. Protected animals include the chamois, red deer, roe deer, alpine ibex (reacclimatized), alpine marmot, golden eagle, and capercaillie.
