drooping lily sign droop·ing lil·y signin urography, a sign of a double renal collecting system, with an obstruction of the upper system depressing the opacified calyces of the lower system, so they appear to droop.A descriptive term for a pattern seen at excretory urography in patients with duplicated renal collecting systems. The sign consists of inferolateral displacement of a functioning lower pole moiety and lateral displacement of the most superior calices of the lower pole collecting system, usually by a nonopacified, hydronephrotic upper pole collecting system.
