B5429600 (bo͞o-zhâr′)n. The difference between the expected value of gravity at a given location and its actual value. Bouguer anomalies take into account factors such as latitude, longitude, altitude, and the rotation of the earth and are often seen as evidence of local variations in the density of the earth.
