Chusid’s criteria

The criteria used to diagnose hypereosinophilic syndrome:
• > 1500 eosinophils/ml;
• Persistence of eosinohilia for > 6 months;
• Absence of other causes of eosinophilia—e.g., allegies, parasites;
• Clinical signs of end-organ damage—skin, heart, lungs, GI, nervous systems.
