Diuchery

(Diuchers). A people (approximately 11,000) who lived in the 17th century on the Amur River, from modern Aigun’ to the area of the modern village of Sarapul’skoe and also along the Ussuri River and the lower reaches of the Sungari River. The Natki, the ancestors of the Nanaians and Ulchis, were sometimes regarded as Diuchery. The Diuchery led a settled life, engaging in farming, cattle raising, fishing, and hunting. Their religion was shamanism. The descendants of the Diuchery have been absorbed by the Nanaians, Ulchis, and other peoples.
